Letztes Jahr hat der World Crafts Council Zanjan als Weltstadt der Filigranarbeitbregistriert.
Derzeit sind rund 6.000 zanjanische Handwerker aktiv an der Herstellung von mehr als 45 Wertstatten beteiligt.
Laut dem Direktor der Handelskammer von Zanjan, Ali Yeganefard, kann Iran in Bezug auf den Export filigraner Artikel und die Teilnahme an den Weltmärkten mit Malta in Süditalien, einem der größten Hersteller dieses Handwerks, zusammenarbeiten.
Darüber hinaus betonte Er die Notwendigkeit, eine Zusammenarbeit mit der türkischen Stadt Trabzon aufzubauen, die über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Herstellung filigraner Gegenstände und Schmuck verfügt.
